About DiveVista

What we do

DiveVista is an independent editorial project that ranks, reviews and compares dive sites around the world. Instead of repeating marketing copy, we score each site on the things divers actually care about — marine life, visibility, access and facilities — from a structured dataset, and turn that into a clear verdict, a strengths/weaknesses list and a "who it's for" note.

How scores work

Each site carries a five-point score built from a set of structured fields in our dataset (e.g. marine life, visibility, access, amenities and an overall figure). Scores are reproducible and consistent across the site: a higher score means a stronger overall profile, not a subjective opinion. We deliberately do not invent prices, so value-for-money is only ever discussed where a real cost figure exists.

Reviews and comments

Reviews on DiveVista carry viewpoint labels (Traveler / Instructor / Anonymous) rather than fabricated real names. They are illustrative examples drawn from the site's own data and are not submitted by real customers. We do not publish fake aggregate star ratings.

Our data

The dataset behind DiveVista is maintained in-house. National-level travel cost figures are aggregated from BudgetYourTrip (real traveller spending) — this is the only price data we publish, and we never invent per-dive-site hotel rates. Imagery is credited to its creators and used under open licenses.

Independent and unaffiliated

DiveVista is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any dive site, tour operator, resort or certification agency mentioned on this site. All names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
